After a break of several years, Targ Śniadaniowy (the Breakfast Market) has returned to Gdańsk. From May to September it meets every weekend on the grounds of Stocznia Cesarska, the former Imperial Shipyard, on Plac Porozumienia Gdańskiego next to the Directorate building. Food and local products are an excuse here for a shared breakfast, conversation and rest in a neighbourly atmosphere.
The stalls of local producers and craftspeople hold seasonal fruit and vegetables, fresh dairy and free-range eggs. Next to them there are cheeses from regional cheesemakers, fish and cold cuts from traditional smokehouses, original preserves and sourdough bakes. Entry is free.
