Who are we?
'TuZaWinklem' was born from a simple need to stop and look around. From curiosity about the world we have at our fingertips, but often overlook in our daily rush. I believe that the most interesting flavors, the truest stories, and the most inspiring people don't live far away – they're right next door. Around the corner, at a small market, in an unassuming workshop, in a bakery fragrant with bread at dawn.
For years I've been fascinated by Polish local products and craftsmanship. Pickles made according to family recipes, cheeses aging in small dairies, sourdough breads, preserves from fruits picked in season, vegetables from farmers who know their land like no one else. Behind each of these flavors stands a person – their time, experience, history, and passion. These stories are what matter most to me.
'TuZaWinklem' is a place created to tell stories.
I want to showcase creators, craftsmen, farmers, and enthusiasts – people who do something well, honestly, and with heart. People who often work quietly, without big campaigns and ads, but whose work has enormous value. I believe they deserve visibility and support from the local community.
That's why the map and search engine for places added by 'winklers' was created – people who know their neighborhoods and want to recommend what's been tried and tested. It's a community of everyday explorers: those who visit markets, talk to creators, try, test, and share their discoveries. Each recommendation is a small vote of trust. Each entry is an invitation: 'come, see, something good is happening here'.
Next to the map, there's also space for short stories, conversations, and discoveries. Because I believe that food and craftsmanship are not just products, but stories about people, places, and traditions. It's the memory of how our grandparents did things, and the courage to do it our own way today. It's meetings, smells, conversations at the counter, the smile of a seller who knows their customers by name.
I want to slow down, be closer, choose consciously.
This project is my passion and way of looking at the world. Supporting small creators instead of anonymous brands. Building relationships instead of just transactions. And inviting others to join.
Because I believe that just around the corner something magical may be hiding: a taste that will remind you of childhood, a person with an extraordinary story, or a place you'll return to for years. 'TuZaWinklem' helps find these things – and share them further.
