Prosta Historia
It all started with old recipes abandoned somewhere in the bottom drawer. A few years ago the people behind Prosta Historia reached for them and began working their way through, driven by a love of honest, traditional cooking and by longing for the flavours they remembered from childhood. Those were grandmother's dishes, the ones that despite their simplicity turned time spent around a shared table into a feast. Behind it all stands respect for their culinary mentors who are no longer with us, and love for people and traditional flavours. "Not everything can be recreated, but some of the memories we managed to bring back," they say about their preserves. Into the jars go traditional bigos, letcho, aromatic sausage and grated beetroot, and next to them sit ferments, whose benefits for health have been known for generations. What sits on the shelf changes throughout the year, because everything depends on the season and on what they can get hold of. Everything is made from natural ingredients, with no enhancers or artificial preservatives.
They close flavours remembered from years past into jars, and sometimes add something of their own. It has to be healthy, tasty and interesting.

Homemade preserves
Mass production is not the point here. What matters is the pleasure of making natural, tasty preserves. Everything is made by hand at home, and what is available depends on the season and on whatever comes their way.
